Residency Programs
At Walden Nature Connections we know that a child's connection to nature plays a critical role in their positive development. Helping support emotional growth and a general increased well-being.
This is why we have developed a series of programs that have been designed to reach out to children and help them connect to nature through developing a variety of skills, encourage child-led exploration and to foster a relationship with our land.
Our School Residency programs are cultivated to work with the various personalities within a class to best develop and grow individual strengths. Engaging, hands-on experiences create positive memories connected to emotional regulation supported by spending time outside.
Programs connect students with skills building and techniques that are able to be further developed in different environments and in everyday life. Our approach puts weight on respect to the environment, teamwork, gaining knowledge and having fun.
Residencies can be booked during school hours. We are also able to design after school programs if it would better serve your goals. During the residency we would ideally work with students daily for greater engagement.
A qualified instructor will lead your students through warm up activities, share any related history and teach fundamental techniques relating to the program’s foundations.
